@pgguy3 You probably wouldn't need a weapon for a bear since the way how to get a bear away from you is first when the bear runs up to you, don't move (if you run the bear will chase and catch you) and the bear will stop and stand on it's back legs just to make itself big so you will run. Then all you have to do is put your hands high above your head and make a very loud growl and the bear will think you are bigger than it and while hearing a growl from you the bear will run away with fear.

Jesus you guys guys. -_- HES A KID!!!! THEY DONT KNOW ANY BETTER!!!!!! That why we grown ups are here. To teach them good and bad things. You cant expect them to know things all the time. Kinda how the baby bear didnt know to stay away from humans. Even grown ups make mistakes. He probably didnt know how protective and dangerous mother bears R of theyr baby and that why he got petrified when mother charged. Stop acting like its the kids fault.
