Brilliant! I met Henry once...would have been in his 80's.Lovely old fella. Had a nurse with him (much younger than him.) "Not his wife,you know",someone told me.Poor bloke could hardly walk!! :)

this is a wonderful tune . great band , the piece was written by billy hill born 1899 died dec 24 1940 american songwriter and lyricist , born in boston mass , famous for writing cowboy songs his biggest hit was " the glory of love " , under the name george brown he co wrote have you ever been lonely , this tune chapel in the moonlight is one of his best thank you !!!!

Hi, sorry to correct you but Billy Hill was the song writer, Henry Hall didn't really credit the vocalist on his records, they were always billed "with Vocal Refrain". It is Dan though, I know the voice :) Have a good weekend too!

I'm sure we wouldn't argue, I was just answering your query :) I know t's Dan as he was my grandfather. I think he also recorded with Oscar Rabin, though you might prove me wrong on that one. Cheers, Dave

No, it's definitely Dan Donovan. He sang with Debroy Somers for a few years and then with Henry Hall for a number of years before going solo.
