  • This reminds of the Pierre Cochereau performance in NDdeP, recorded on the Philips label in 1973. Different organ, different player, but the spirit is the same: technically excellent, full of energy and quite deliberately fast. Shame the final page isn't there though!!

  • Nice performance! Much better than v=Vo82Vnd_Kr4 in any case.

  • MAN, i want to hear the whole piece.......

    AND LIVE ; )

  • again, played too fast...

very few people seem to realise that the power of this Toccata and also Boëllmann's is in a very modest choice of tempo!!

  • The selection of these stops is great and fantastic!!!

  • First I think it's a little bit too fast (for me). Where is the whole toccata? :(

The organ is very nice. He used many stops at last. I like it but it isn't the best performence here.

  • too much reverb, nice grand organ though

  • It is just as well that it fades out before the end. What more stops could he add? I must say, the tutti on this organ is horrible; not what Widor had in mind at all. No wonder the German audience just sits in disbelief.

  • I love it.
