Metallica is debatably the best metal group in our history. Their songs are timeless, they will be remembered for the rest of time. Periphery is part of a modern generation of metal who still takes influence from the gods of metal. Periphery and Metallica, As I lay Dying and Judas Priest, etc. etc. I believe that metal is doing nothing but growing as genre and is one of the vastest genres there is. Thank you Periphery for the amazing homage to the kings of metal.
@hmzen muddy ain't the right word, more just crowded imo. Superior 2.0 does show it's limits in places here though, the fast snare hits around 5:10 don't sound very human.
@JewBoy6977 Go listen to Kill 'Em All and then listen to St. Anger. The differences in style and song writing are radically different, almost to the point that if you didn't know any better you'd think they were written by two completely different bands. Metallica has made a habit of changing their sound every album and you're either stone deaf or a complete retard if you think otherwise.
@duscamry thats a shame because they are gay as aids, every album sounds the same and everyone loves that same shit sound but when they dropped their last album it was not the same shit sound a lot of the people that liked their same shit sound all throughout the past all of a sudden don't like this album hmmmmmmm fuck Metallica.
I don't think the vocals particularly fit, though I'm not sure if the drumbeat's slightly different in the breakdown, but it adds more power than the original and the solo here is incredible.
