  • I don´t believe... 1968? Is a fake men!

  • @lacromozart No, the date isn't a fake. It's from Domingo's first studio sessions, conducted by Nello Santi. If you look around youtube, there's also a Cielo e mar and a La dolcissima effigie recorded during the same sessions.

  • Domingo is very young at this point, probably still making his transition from Baritone to Tenor. Kudos to him!

  • Is this really from 1968? Wow. I've never heard it before. Thanks for posting.

  • LA VERITÀ .

  • @gdawg116 where's the squillante?

  • @DTGeek155 he is still trying to do that. :|

  • None shall sleep! None shall sleep! Even you, O Princess, in your cold bedroom, watch the stars.that tremble with love and with hope! But my secret is hidden within me; none will know my name! No, no! On your mouth I will say it when the light shines! And my kiss will dissolve the silence that makes you mine! No one will know his name.and we will have to, alas, die, die! Calaf, now certain of victory, sings: Vanish, o night! Set, stars! Set, stars! At dawn, I will win! I will win! I will win!

  • Not very good. Sorry.

  • @DTGeek155 the transition from baritone to tenor was nearly 10 years before, when he was ~ 18

  • @DTGeek155 To the contrary: he had been singing exclusively tenor for a good 8 years at least when he made this recording - and he had sung a good many leading roles in Tel Aviv and at the New York City Opera. 1968 was the year in which he made his Met debut (in October), as Maurizio de Saxe in Cilea's ADRIANA LECOUVREUR.

  • The MOST Beautiful thing I have EVER heard. brings tears to my eyes each time i listen to it

  • voce fuori ruolo.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
