Burning an effigy of anyone is wrong. Period. Should they have the right to do it? Yes. Is it barbaric and backwards-thinking to do it? In my opinion, yes. And a lot of these comments are silly. Burning Bush doesn't make them communists, nor does it make all liberals evil or hypocritical, just like burning Obama doesn't make all Conservatives evil or hypocritical.

Just because many people in the past burned effigies doesn't make it right. Tons of things are "long historic tradition"...lynching, stoning, torture...doesn't make them right.
