This is a video that I did for the 2009 AFL Grand Final. I did a recording from before the half time then I did another recording after the game finished. Part of the recordings was in Esperanto and part of it in English. Please enjoy!

------------------------
Translation!
Hello dear listeners. Today is the grand final of the AFL (Australians Football League. Geelong is playing against St Kilda. I am not a big fan of the AFL but I wouldn't be a real Australian if I didn't like it, right? Today I am supporting St Kilda. Which team are you supporting? So, now, Geelong has 43 points and St Kilda has 49 points. Everyone is watching the television with great anticipation, hoping that their team will win. It is now 3:48pm.

Hello again ladies and gentleman! My name is Matthew and I am coming to you from Melbourne, Australia. It is now 6:28pm. Geelong wins the final of the AFL with 80 points and St Kilda loses with 68 points. What a shame! But in the true spirit of sportsmanship, I give my many congratulations to Geelong -- the winners of the final of the AFL 2009.

-----------------------

I would like to make a small note about my use of Esperanto in this video. I used the word "gajni" in the first video and "venki" in the second video. I should have used "venki" because this is the word for winning whereas "gajni" is used for winning something or gaining something as a result of winning. I might also add that I used the present tense instead of the past tense when I was saying "Geelong wins the final of the AFL with 80 points .......". I should have used the past tense here. Pardon me! Oh well, when you're learning you make mistakes and you correct your mistakes as best you can. Thank you for watching!
