The earwig gets all slimed up in the gut of the Nepenthes spathulata. This is how this plant kills prey that happens to fall into it - just like the big beetle you can see floating in the soup of other corpses, enzymes, acids, and proteins.

  • @XxEVORxX if you can't find one in your mop, i can easily mail one of my spare earwigs to you.

  • Yes, they are very dangerous to humans! They crawl up inside your ear and make little tiny wigs for them to wear from you earhair!

Just joking. They do no harm at all.

  • i fucking hate these things...

  • @Alexiandro0 lol! good question

  • What happens when you drink that?

  • @Piranhaboy01 Where could I get a pitcher plant or a regular venus fly trap?

  • @Piranhaboy01 I found mine under a rock, lol.

  • good riddance i'd say

  • @PhazonSwimmy if it's dropping towards freezing, keep it inside. I'd grow it outside when it warms up above ~10 C at night. They can tolerate colder than that but not worth the chance. Get yourself a bright compact 40watt fluorescent lamp and take the plant out of the tank. I'd grow it in a room that cools a bit at night.

  • @Piranhaboy01 If you must know why I have to throw it out is because there was a HUGE windstorm (The plant was torn to shreds.) and alot of acid landed in a nearby tin bucket thing.
