«Eine neue sozialistische Bewegung hat in den USA nur eine Chance, wenn sie sich auf die Transformation der Betriebe konzentriert. Die Selbstverwaltung der Betriebe stellt eine nicht vollendete bisher vernachlässigte Dimension der radikalen Transformationsversuche in der Vergangenheit dar. Nur so können wir auf den Errungenschaften früherer sozialer Kämpfe aufbauen und müssen nicht noch mal von vorne anfangen. Die Selbstverwaltung der Betriebe durch die ArbeiterInnen muss also für uns Linke im zentralen politischen, ökonomischen, analytischen und programmatischen Fokus stehen.» (Richard D. Wolff)

Wolff's proposal is basically a US version of Sweden's proposed method of dealing with economic crisis in the 1970s (the Rehn-Meidner plan). What concrete measures can deal with the inevitable political backlash (funded heavily by corporate interests) against it, which happened in Sweden and ultimately stopped the plan from being enacted?

awesome, i wish we had people like mr. wolff here in brazil. we have a people with a good ear for this kind of thing. but we also have a police brutal as hell in service of the 1% xD. x(
