  • Since this video, I've purchased a 25C 4S Thunder Power lipo and put on a 14x7 prop, and this has made a huge difference in performance to do 3D maneuvers. I'm getting ready to try a Hacker A30-10XL on another Eratix I won in a raffle, and I think a 4S 2200 would work a lot better with this motor. The A30 will give me a lighter plane setup. A 4S 3200 to 3700 lipo at least a 20C and a 14x7 prop is the best set up for this plane with a Power 32 mounted.

  • In the video, I'm flying a 4S 3200 mAh lipo. I've also flown it with 4S 2500 and there is just a small difference in motor performance, but I only got about a 5 minute flight as apposed to 8 minutes with the 3200. I think 4S 2200 would work but, would allow only a very short flight. I've also flown a 3S 11.1v 4000 mAh battery in the Eratix, but the Power 32, just doesn't like the low voltage, and it is a big difference(on the negative side) in the power produced with a 3S lipo. cont-->

  • what motor you running? Is it e-flite 32 bl outrunner? or something different? Nice flying.

  • Thanks. Yes, It's an E-Flite Power 32. The Power 32 is more then enough motor for the Eratix. I finally got some 20C lipos, so now I can go up to a 14x7 prop and be able to hover better.

  • thats awesome. The lipo's you bought...are they 4S 14.8v? or 3S 11.1v? I have two 11.1v 4000mah which are heavy bricks at 20-30C. I was thinkin they might be too heavy and i might go with a 14.8v 2200mah? any suggestions?

  • In the video, I'm flying a 4S 15C 3200 mAh lipo. A 4S 3200 to 3700 lipo at least a 20C and a 14x7 prop is the best set up for this plane with a Power 32 mounted. But a Power 25 with a 4S 2500 would work well also. I added a couple comments above about lipo performance that I hope helps.

  • nice flying, but i cant really see the plane well in the video

  • ok thanx for the info. I was thinking your suggestions would be a good setup. I just bought the eratix last saturday and im waiting for my servos, props, motor (power 32) and e-flite 60amp to come in the mail so i can start building. Another thing its way too cold here in ohio. Thanx again for the setup you got there. I can't wait to fly. I will try a 4S lipo.
