Hotel hosts live rooftop gig in tribute to the Beatles 1969 rooftop performance
Liverpool's Beatles inspired Hard Days Night Hotel started the countdown to World Beatles day by hosting its first ever, live rooftop gig in tribute to the Fab Four's world famous rooftop performance in 1969.
World-renowned Beatles tribute band The Backbeat Beatles performed four of the Beatles most famous high-energy hits, including 'A Hard Days Night' and 'Twist and Shout', to unsuspecting passers by on the streets below, to mark the hotel's support for the Beatle's Day foundation which raises money for local causes, in particular those which promote the health and well being of children and young people.
The gig, which has been organised ahead of Liverpool's third annual Beatles Day on the 10th July, mimicked the Beatles famous afternoon rooftop performance on the 30th January 1969, when the Beatles surprised a central London office with an impromptu performance on the top of the Apple building.
