@o2SuctionBoost Sorry but those shoes are ridiculous. The feet are supposed to move with no heel striking, all those shoes do is promote your feet smashing into the ground instead of actually using your momentum to your advantage. All those springs do is make you lose speed. I highly suggest you find proper running shoes and seriously ask someone with a lot of athletic experience instead (your friends won't do you help).

Really cool, ugly running shoes like always (all running shoes are like that unfortunately)

They should be thin there
there is absolutely no reason for them to slip hence why the size should be proper.
As for using Vans, that is absurd. Those shoes are not meant for athletic performance. They're supposed to be confy sturdy and flat. Not thin bendy and light.
As for the spring, I don't know how that could help since in T&F it really depends on the event.

One would think you would want the front and sides really thin like that, seems like your foot would not sweat near as much.
