From what I can gather, Simon has folk/punk musical roots. Mark as you said, glam rock (lol?). Jez I think was in a punk band, Jon had a fiddle teaching company or somesuch so he was a folkie. Charlie I think Jez or Mark knew from a previous band, dunno what kind. And Matt is a multi-instrumentalist who I keep finding in my record collection in a variety of genres on a variety of instruments. The guy's underrated

Perfect evidence of a band 21 years into a career and still as amazing as they were when they started. Plus Jez's dreads will go down in music history forevah! ^.^
