@MustangMedicdotcom Hot Rod liked the four wheel, 1,000 pound rated version for the an small block projects. The smaller three wheeled, 650 pound rated version was prone to tipping over. The 2,200 pound version is the preferred one for any big block projects. They tested each one under extreme weight stress. The 650 one was so strong that it didn't break until it reached 2,000 pounds, and the 1,000 pound version didn't show any stress at 2,000. You guys have solid mounts.

I'm sure it does better on gas, You will have a direct comparison today we are taking out the 289, we will have them side by side.

well that really is a 260 ..it has the old 5 bolt bell housing..64/289's also were 5 bolt bell housing.,.65 all ford small blocks went to 6 bolt..i was curious to see if it was actually an older motor on cuzz it has a newer type power steering pump bracket . i read a post of is the 260 better on gas then a 289/302.i would say the 289 is better then the 260 ,,the 260 must work harder to say keep the car it 50mph..probably not much different between the 289/302 for mpg's, much better then the 221

Just a little tip before you put the stand mount onto the stand I'd suggest using a little bit of grease on the engine mounting flange. It will make it much easier to turn the engine over if you have too.
