New for 2011 is the Taurus M380 revolver. The gun store did not have the blued version so I picked up the alloy ultra lite version. I would have preferred it in stainless steel for the weight. Being so light it is a bit snappy when shooting.

  • I bought one of these for my fiance today, and so far... I'm not liking it. Have you had anymore problems with this one? I'm not very familiar with wheel guns, but when I pull the trigger, the cylinder over-shoots its position. The bullet isn't lined up with the barrel, it's slightly past, and the cylinder free spins (not in its notch). It does it consistently. It only has snap caps in it right now, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Now I'm a little scared to. Anyone else's do that?

    DO NOT FIRE IT.

Return it to the dealer as defective. If they will not take it back or send it off for repair for you send it to Taurus yourself. They have a lifetime [of the gun] repair policy.

  • We just bought this gun in Feb '12. The Mrs and I put 25 rounds thru it and had 3 fail to fires. The hammer would come back partially and then lock. I used the stellar clips but found it very hard to remove the old casings without bending the clips. So I tried shooting 5 rounds without the clips. The pushrod was no help extracting the empty casings and I actually had to use a small flathead screwdriver to pry out most of the casings. Have you had any issues with you M380??? thanks

  • @pipeheadOR

I also had 3 fail to fire out of a box. I used a boxed end wrench to remove the spent casings from the clips. Just loop it over the case and pull.

  • I agree. All guns should be considered loaded. You should never point the barrel at something you do not want dead, this includes your own face.

  • @TCVulture

LMAO do you REALLY think the camera is my face or my face is behind the camera??? You are the one viewing it from this angle why wouldn't you think it was pointed at your face?

  • @TCVulture Even if what you said is indeed truth, there is no way an uncocked double action revolver could discharge on his own (without falling or anything) and with his finger off the trigger..... But i sure wouldnt point it at my face either.

  • How's the trigger?

  • @therats2270

It is a Blackhawk holster. If you go to blackhawks web site and search for 73ip08bk-r you will find it. It was just what they had at the gun shop cheap. $11.99

  • Hey my friend, what uncle mikes holster did you grab with this little gun?
