This one was good too though! That what is very interesting - old though we're probably going to cut off the head and then put the bird in a 5 gallon bucket to flop around. Sounds kind of messy to me, but that's how my buddy says to do it. :-/ We'll see.... ;-)

We're butchering 'round 10 young NH Red roosters and 5 or 6 assorted bantamm roostets next weekend (our first time). Although we will either be hand-plucking or using a drill-mounted-plucker, it was interesting to see a unit like that work. Thanks for taking the time to put the vid together and post it. (I can see me wishing I had one!) Ha! Maybe I'll have to post a video of 5 or 6 birds roasting on a spit over our fire pit! Then, I can be an inspiration too! LOL Thanks again. Good job!

The chickens windpipe is never cut meaning they don't choke. They die within a minute. They suffer little.
