Because it shows the leaders of those countries were the natives of Iran stand and how they feel about the current situation. It is important for the leaders of america and europe to know what the people think. They are hoping to sway international support for the opposition. It happens to be working, because at first Obama refused to comment on the issue, now he openly supports the opposition.

I'm American born, Scottish and Jewish by heritage. I am home.
And in America, we're allowed to express ourselves without being told to leave the country.

By protesting in the American Capital, are these people also condoning a future U.S. attack and regime change in Iran, or would these same people complain if there was action taken to help "free" the Iranian people from their government?

We condone all non-violent actions to make real change. So no, we do not condone invading Iran.
And no, we are not hypocrites (as you were most certainly attempting to imply) for opposing tyranny, and opposing war at the same time.
