Revisiting this speech again. This is the coolest speech, informal, off the cuff, wondeful delivery. From beginning to end (go to Part 2), it takes one back to the time when we had this outstanding and brilliant man as our President. He was amazing. A speed reader, he could read a book in a couple of hours, and 5 newspapers front to back in less than an hour, and absorb it all. And to top it all off, he said "no" to the generals. What a terrible loss.

Since the advent of the tele-prompter it is often easy to forget that political figures had to read from a hard-copy text (probably analogous to today's Kindle/iPad). While both the tele-prompter and hard-copy texts present their own challenges of use, I can't help but think reading from a hard-copy text was more difficult.

I love Kennedy but he was wrong on this and that is not entirely his fault. It seems simple to take from those with against their will and give to those without but govt intervention as we see inflated medical costs and education costs and negates the positive intent. Even now as he is discussing Social Security it was not anywhere near bankrupt or reliant upon inflation which destroys the value of the dollar seniors receive. Math and facts do not lie. The answer is smaller got and no income tax

Good to see you have a good sense of humor. I double majored in college, one being in philosophy. The only classes I had no interest in is in polotics because of its corrupting nature of those who engage in it. It 's sad to know most elected official go to office knowing they can cash in by lobbiest willing to buy their votes. Not a good way to run a country? I don't blame them though-I'd probably do the same thing.
