  • Wow. Woke up this morning, went downstairs first thing to try again and it worked perfectly. The problem was I wasn't really pulling the things apart as I pulled it out. It came out so easily on the first try. Thanks man.

  • Sorry, I do no aftermarket installation. I'd suggest visiting several of your local installation shops. You will quickly find out who knows their stuff and who is just looking to make a sale. Good luck!

  • Coat hanger bent to shape, four nails, but nothing makes the job easier than the right tool!

  • There are usually two fuses for the car stereo. One located in the passenger compartment, under the dash driver's side. Second, under the hood near the vehicle's battery. Check ALL fuses, only one is labeled for the car stereo.

  • i recently got my car stereo stolen from my 1997 ford expedition and wanted to put back the factory stereo and make 2 pioneer 6x8 speakers work in the factory speaker wires i took of the rear door panel cut the little adapter that was for the factory speaker and hooked it up to the 6x8 resulting no sound some guy installed my old pioneer stereo and said he could make it work and cut all the speaker wires and he dint make it work any advice please help

  • If you have a set of din removal tools, sometimes putting a slight bend into the tool will help catch the clip.

  • On a '99 Sable I can engage the clips on the right side but not the left. I can feel the tool skip over the clip. Would it help to "knife edge" the end of the tool? Any suggestions? Thanks!
