does it make funy noises or just mine. I just bought one and I feel there is something wrong with it because when I try to zoom in to 400mm and autofocus make funy noises.

@woOoOowgirl Well you have a whole bunch of moving parts inside. Could be the IS working and USM trying to focus. I hate to say this, because I know that they will tell you to send it in, so they can charge you 200+ to "open" it up. BUUUUT, Have you tried calling Canon about it? That's the only 100% way for sure to find out if your lens is messed up. Plus I would do it before the 1 year warranty is up, If it's not already. I hope that helps

Hey man I enjoyed your review of the 100-400 L lens by Canon. I my self recently got a prime lens EF 400mm L if you'd like I can make a movie like yours of my lens... Just without showing off lol

I actually just bought the lens a week ago, but yes I checked the IS and turn it off and the sound gone. I guess you r right it is the IS and focus were working.

I was about actually to send it back to the seller since I have two week to return it.
