- Well, it's finally here. Hard to believe I know and I've got to say a big thanks to Sven and Sven (no particular order :) for bearing with me through the last few months... top work fellas! I'm proud and thrilled to bring you this little gem on Smallfish. These guys mean the world to me and it's because of the healthy scene on the net that this idea came together and finally came to fruition. 20 minutes of deep, low-key, effortlessly brilliant techno sounds with such a lovingly crafted sound that you can feel the heart in each cut. We kick off with Quantec who delivers an absolutely cracking track entitled Gloaming that's pulsating with goodness. A hypnotic synth riff with a multitude of delays, a muted kickdrum, a hint of bass... this is why we love his music and he's come up trumps here I've got to say. Sven Weisemann is up next with Floatation Verb and for my money it's one of his finest tracks to date. Again it has such a lovely subtle sound, all awash with reverb and deep melodic chord stabs that drive the minimalist percussion along beautifully. A top notch piece of work. Finally we have me as Remote_ with a track called Tracing Lines. It's kind of an olide but a goodie and has always been a personal favourite of mine. It felt totally right to put it on this release and hopefully you'll all enjoy it. Swooshy chords, a solid 4/4 beat and a big old boom bass as well... nice. I'm so chuffed to be able to bring you this release and it wouldn't have been possible without Sven and Sven getting involved so big props to both of them. A fabulous start to the Smallfish 2008 release schedule then... class!-
