Two things just came to mind:

1. Could it possibly make a difference with what internet browser you're using (i.e. Explorer, Firefox, Netscape, etc.)?

2. Open up the detailed sound controls on your computer and make sure that all of the level are turned up and not muted (line, cd, etc.)
