Interesting that you mentioned the eye-pleasing run cycle in this video; the run animation is one of my favorite aspects of 100 Rogues. I don't know why exactly, but a carefully designed animation can really add to a game's fun factor.
By "careful," I don't necessarily mean "smooth." Earthworm Jim had silky-smooth animation, but running around as Jim wasn't near as much fun as it is in something like, say, Castle Crashers, or even the original Super Mario Bros. It's tough to qualify.

Whoa, you guys reviewing a good game? That's weird :P It's one of those lesser know but really good games, and it offers a great challenge too. And the music is badass.
Also, it looks like Terminator because it originally was, but they lost the Terminator license before releasing the game. Good thing they still released the game, it's awesome :D
