Those patrons who happened to be at the Main Branch at noon on January 13th were treated to a surprise operatic performance. Singing arias from the 2nd floor veranda were four of Utah Operas top performers: tenor Aaron Blake, mezzo-soprano Melissa Treinkman, bariton Brent Turner, and soprano Chanel Wood, with accompaniment from pianist Willem Van Schalkwyk.

This was bariton Brent Turner singing Ovin Dissipe Latistesse, from Hamlet.

The performance was intended to be serendipitous art, a rare opportunity to encounter professional-level opera in an everyday environment.
