Prices at the local 'Costco' in Saipan

The local 'Costco' is not like the Costco most of us are accustomed to - here the owners split all the items up (so you are not really buying in bulk) but STILL charge you the FULL price that the bulk would have cost. One box of kleenex is $ 4.00. Everything is outrageously priced, here is a very small sampling.

if you think about it, that's the only way to make some profit. it costs a lot to import into Saipan. so instead of keeping the whole package and charge you its full value price, no one would be able to afford it.  if you go to any islands, that's how it is. try going to hawaii. it's the same thing. the price goes up too. trust me, i bought 3 jalapenos in a local safeway store there, and it was charged at $2.00 so go figure.
