I recorded this video (using Fraps) to show everybody how bad Oblivion stutters (in some areas it is worst, such as the one shown here). My framerate is not effected severely by the settings I have chosen ingame and with tweaks.
I have already tried tweaks in the Oblivion.Ini file that will help (from tweakguides.com), but none of them have worked at all. My specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ EE
Mushkin EM 2X1GB PC2 6400
XFX NVIDIA GeForce 7900GS
That's the 64 hz microstutter bug. It's an issue with how the game synchronizes movement with framerate. Oblivion Stutter Remover fixes the problem, if you can stand the occasional crashes.

I have a stuttering problem too, but it only happens when I hit anything with my attacks (wheter it's a melee wep, bow or spell). Anyone knows how to solve this?.

Dont play on max with a 7900!
I play it with VTX 4850 on max and it still stutters a bit. Thats normal

IMO The stuttering ruins the gameplay in Oblivion and Fallout 3
