This is priceless. Art's '70s group with these walter Davis Jr. compositions was rivaled only by his '50s groups with Mobley. I saw Schnitter put away Michael Brecker and Hardman do the same to Freddie Hubbard one night at Carnegie Hall in the late '70s. Schnitter and Hardman were both unsung super-heroes! Listen to Hardman burn 'em up on that solo--and these guys were hardly recorded in the '70s. Art would call off the whole group, even bass, and let Hardman play unaccompanied for choruses.
