The Great Northeaster of March 1962, which effectively, cleaned off the Northern half of Long Beach Island, NJ, among other locales, should have been a clue as to future possible events. We choose to have short memories for such things.

i really, really dislike gee-whiz science presentations. The announcer speaking in a pushy voice of all the damage, destruction, and yes! death too. Ain't it horrible, people. Look at all the misery. So very terrible. Flashing camera scene to accentuate the speed and violence of the destruction.
Yucccchh. So yes, a large storm hit the east coast and caused a lot of damage. I'd appreciate a What's so" presentation rather than this "Gee-Whiz" one. Its a turn-off.

.Well I wonder how many realality shows they will make out of this storm... People just want to move close to the shore and then they want to cry when a hurricane blew there shit away, knowing that someday that it will. So why pay all them bug bucks to live on the ocean front and loose it all. Then most of all wine and cry when it happened.

Some of you are making really stupid comments, don't you think? You must be crazy to say anyone wouldn't care, no less the USA, who has a history of helping out others, sometimes even enemies during times of crisis like these.
National Geographic does shows about all kinds of issues and whetehr you want to admit it, many people here were devastated by the storm.. If you don't want to watch it, don't. Otherwise, get a life.

National Geographic loves themselves too much...They don't believe in God and think they are the hope of the world (my ass they are).

Some of you people are heartless. Many people lost everything. Their houses, their businesses - and they were the lucky ones. Lives were lost. Yeah, really funny.
