I am a Searchers fan. I believe they are/were better than the Beatles. I first went saw them at the Iron Door in 1962. I drink in the Cross keys pub(if you know the significance). I still go to watch both versions of the group. I belive MPS are more in keeping with the original sound.

Well leona, I see you are classed as USA based, so tell me how often and when do you see both groups?
-
check out your local pub for his dates ! Also check out theatres & concert halls for The Searchers.

Couldn't agree with you more. He thought when he left that the band would fold...NOT!

LOL . The Searchers continually tour the UK and Europe and beyond continually. I dont see many headlining tours with Mike Penders Searchers but I`m sure he scratches out a living somewhere.

N0, Like Mick Jagger is the sound of the Stones, Reg Presley is the sound of the Troggs, etc, etc. So if you want to hear the voice of the Searchers( After Tony Jackson) and the original 12 string lead guitar then it has to be MPS.
-
...like Dave Lee Roth is the sound and voice of Van Halen ?? If people want the real thing they go and see Van Halen.

Not as good as MikePenders Searchers, Mike keeps to the original sound....go see them
