Yes, there are indeed many hard working Filipinos who are here legally in America but there are also many who are here illegally taking our (American citizens) money. They need to leave and enter legally. Illegal aliens (Filipinos) are giving legal Filipinos and those from other countries a bad reputation.

@ghomnet This is based on old cultural prehispanic traditions of social standing. But in the past, it mostly was just applied to women, there were Spanish accounts that detailed this. The lower status natives were darker bec they were laborers & toiled under the sun whereas the daughters of Datus/free men could afford to have their women to work indoors & not in the fields or the sea. So I guess that native tradition has been continued into today in how we associate class & status.

I like what u said, what do u think about Racism that goes on in Philippines, Lighter asian r portrayed as rich, educated, and beautiful, They grace all the magazine covers and TV. Darker asian r always the but of the joke, they r portrayed as poor, ignorant, and ugly. The big T.V. station like ABS-CBN promote racism on there stations example a show, Banana Split, had a girl who used a whitening soap and her dark skin turned the soap black everyone laughs. What do you think about this.
