@chrissline77 He was originally orange in the first season. The story goes that toxic waste in the trash can turned him green ever since.

Oscar rocks and sings my favourite anti-Christmas song. Good to see Mr. Hooper.
But the end was cut out of the song, "And whoever hung that mistletoe over my trash can, I say phooey, and bah humbug!"
