I just came back to battlefield 3, I was confused at why I wasn't killing people with one shot with the bolt actions..... Can someone explain please?

(continued)...kind of like in call of duty games. If you have tried hitting a player running horizontally, 40ft away, by aiming directly at him and firing full auto the bullets don't reach him in time before he moves. You have to lead the player with full auto at 40 feet?? That is stupid! Completely unrealistic.

They say, "it's a game", and yet want realism in graphics and physics EXCEPT with the bullets. STUPID.

They have already ruined the Battlefield series for me with all of this nerfing and dumbing down of the real life specifications of the guns and vehicles. The M16A3 in game has a muzzle velocity of 650 m/s while in real life the muzzle velocity is 948 m/s. That is significantly slower and pointless while also belonging to the "non-beneficial" section of BF3. The opponents to realism say that the bullets would be "too fast" and it would be instant hits every time...(continued)

'nerfing the entire game' reason why i quit battlefield i cant switch snipers and just play the way i want to beacause everbody wants to nerf my fav guns. same thing starting to happen in black ops 2 no im not a fanboy for either game 'The game's getting boring real fast and these OP nerds ' -_- i prefer to call them gamekillers i cant find one sever where theres no rules and its actualy not fun anymore because of the nerfs

The sniper rifle is the most feared weapon in modern wars and you're complaining that it's not biased enough for close quarters? First of all battlefield 3 hates snipers. Sun glare, dust clouds, slow bullets, shaky scopes, low damage, slow fire rate, scope glare, sniper hunters, no o.h.o.k.

But yet the 'best' class assault is spammed and there isn't any variety game to game. Always a guy with an AEK971 or M16. The game's getting boring real fast and these OP nerds are nerfing the entire game.

No offense to anyone but all these people telling, "OP! OP!", need to shut up and man up. I'd love it if the helicopters were hard to take down and the tank acted like...tanks. The sniper rifle is meant for superior marksmen with a one hit one kill mentality. The assault rifles are meant for advanced marksmen. Sub machine guns for close quarters. Why do people complain when they suck to much to kill a man with a bolt action because it's portrayed realistically? In real life you'd be dead.

Before the patch, good attack heli crews would be invulnerable, pilot using ecm jammer and below radar, meaning no lock ons from ground or air and if there was any lock on, gunner would deploy their flares.

Especially on kharg island rush, people were going 60-2 in attack heli.
