As noted this is part of an online review of the 500GB Seagate Momentus XT.
Ten programs (calc, Chrome, IE 8, uTorrent, MPC-HC x64, iTune, Excel, Word, Access and iometer) are simultaneously opened using a .bat file.
Test System:
Core i7 860 @ 4.0 (HT on)
4GB DDR3 1600 CL8 (dual channel)
Sapphire ATI HD 5870
MSI P55-GD65
OCZ Vertex 2 - 50GB (v1.0 firmware)
Drive connected via Intel ICH10R controller in IDE mode.
i bet u did this about 5 times so it would cache all of it in the ssd portion of the drive o.O

@bigbrowncheifbottom - that's sorta true. I loaded the .bat file several times, however I then used the drive for a couple of days without loading the .bat, so as a result it should reflect 'normal usage' of the SSD. For the record I have no affiliation to Seagate whatsoever!

@mongohotline oic. well if i doing a test with this drive i would do it over and over just to see how fast it is :P

@bigbrowncheifbottom - I did it several times, but had gaps to reflect normal usage rather than running it over and over again, which would as your OP said be a bit unrealistic.
