Rock stars, art stars and various Hollywood elite gathered at Billy Shire Fine Arts gallery in Culver City to applaud "Ether", the newest collection of work from artist Tim Biskup. The LA-based painter, illustrator, sculptor and animator/graphic designer has continuously been one of the scene's most prolific and promising, creating everything from original artwork and limited-edition prints to vinyl figures, sculptures, tee-shirts and TV shows. Set to the atmospheric sounds of experimental sound artist Chas Smith, the opening, presented by Helio and Vanity Fair, attracted a bustling crowd of collectors and fans. Contemporaries such as Shepard Fairey and Mark Ryden arrived to cheer Biskup on and producer/writer/director JJ Abrams served as amiable host.
