The town is the boyhood home of famous North Carolinian Andy Griffith. This video shows the Regional Museum, Wally's Filling Station, the Courthouse, Floyd's Barbershop and much more.

Only about an hour from our home, we love to take a Saturday afternoon ride up the mountain.

    Haha, I'm from Tennessee & it's true for the longest I've been calling Andy, 'Griffin' instead of 'Griffith'. Now I'm trying to catch myself & correct myself. I'm planning on taking a vacation up to Mt. Airy when summer vacation comes around.

    I'm from TN and Mount Airy is not too far, and I'm hoping to visit this coming summer. I've been once, but it was in the early 90's and I was too young to remember much. I love Andy, and this town seems so awesome!
