This technique allow for the cleanest hair possible when washing, especially when washing over a lengthy period of time. If you also notice in the video b/w my parts were NOT flaky and dry. I still scratch my scalp anyway to bring up any flakes that can't be seen just by looking into the parts and to maintain the cleanest scalp possible. I also like the idea of stimulating my scalp. I have no proof but it is my own personal theory that the extra blood flow to the area may keep the max amt of hair that you're able to grow, growing due to the added activity, but who knows...

  • Do you actually now see natural hair oil in your scalp? years before i relaxed (teens) i saw natural hair oil in between my scalp. But after years of relaxing that has gone! just started to transition only 8 wks post so ages to go! but just wanted to know if yours came back ? and wondering if that natural oil produced on our own scalp before relaxers will ever come back!

  • @winiver77

yes, I do see the oil in my scalp. It does come back.

  • I know this is a hair video but you have the most beautiful skin. Anyways, I scratch my scalp too but I just like how it feels haha.

  • @claudeval

sigh...you should see my skin now lol. Ty though

  • I've been natural for longer than15 years and my hair is longer and very thick like yours, I haven't straighten it in about 5 years, I usually wear wigs and put my hair in two braids, I'm really trying to achieve a longer length similiar to yours when I stretch my hair out it comes to like 20inches but my shrinkage is super short. How can I grow my hair long like yours?

  • @niaZomba

your length is close to my length so you dont need help growing the hair, yours just has more shrinkage than mine.

  • @captmicha imo naturally curly/kinky/coily hair or hair associated with African descendants is not 'difficult'. it requires a different kind of care and maintenance to other hair textures. because of all the loops and kinks the hair strands make it is prone to tangles and the natural oil from the scalp does not travel down the length of the hair as easily as with straight hair. so it's important for people with this texture to moisturize and implement appropriate hair care techniques for growth

  • I always scratch my scalp. I don't think I'll ever be able to stop but I've been noticing lately that I have some abrasions from doing it.

  • Girl, u hv d most beautiful natural black hair I've seen so far on youtube! Seriously, I will do anything to hv my hair look like urs. Look at all that hair. Also, u're a natural beauty. You are my shero, lol. I've been tryna go natural but I couldn't do it cos my hair is so kinky. I remember when I was lil, hair dressers don't like to mess with my hair n I cry a lot cos my scalp is so sensitive.

  • @bpt80ct It doesn't for me. It feels really good, like a deep massage. Kind of like exfoliation for your scalp. :)

  • im so jealous

  • Okay...it looked like a rubberband in this video, as you were having so much trouble removing it.
