It is wonderful that you are so concerned! You can contact The Caring Voice Coilition. They are a wonderful group that helps to pay for meds those who cannot afford it. Another choice, before his insurance stops covering him is to apply for Medicaid. I presume that he cannot work, and this is a way he can pay for his therapies. Have him apply for disability and Social Security, but if he has never worked then Medicaid would probably work. All my best goes out to you and your family! Sam

I want to know if I can do something about this. He is going to UCLA, and his insurance is paying for most of the medicine. He is getting a lot of medicine, and the insurance will only pay for it until he is 21, he is 18 right now. I'd like to know more about you and your condition. They said my bro. has a hole in his heart, and it is too late for them to close it, because of his high blood pressure. My cousin's daughter was born 2 years ago, and she has PH too.

Where is the best PH lab in the U.S. ?

My brother was diagnosed with this at the age of 5. My parents have struggled a lot. When he was 7 or 8 he had these horrible nose bleeds that wouldn't stop for hours. Some of the doctors even thought he had Leukemia. I think at the end it was hemophilia. I want to know about this condition more. They recently told him that his is stable, but his lungs aren't OK. They said it might be tomorrow or 6 months or 20 years for him to really start struggling.

My brother is a PH patient too. He's 18, and he is also taking tracleer and some sort of viagra. He was diagnosed at the age of 5 I think. He is being treated by some of the best doctors in California. The medicine is really cheap for him, but his insurance will only cover it until he is 21. I'm really scared, because they are giving him all this medicine, and when he turns 21, I don't think we can afford it anymore. Tell me about Ilomedin, remodulin and marcumar. I want to know more about this.

I appreciate those at UAB for uploading Sue's inspiring story. I know a 26 year old who was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension due to her ongoing struggle with the rare blood disorder, Elliptocytosis. If anyone has more info, please help. I hope all who are experiencing PH, remain positive and endure with faith.

Hi there. i'm a ph patient too. I am 21. I live in switzerland. We're using tracleer, viagra, ilomedin, remodulin and marcumar. That works quite good. I hope there's gonna be more research for helpful medicin! I wish you my friends all the best, energy and hope to go the way that we are suposed to go!

Your story is inspiring. I'm a PH patient dx in 2004. I'm 45, married, great 12 yr. old daughter. I've been in that place. It's awful. Would love to hear more, because I wish to live a full life, like before. Can't work, but stable, on Tracleer & Advair. More PFT's to do in Jan. I'm really scared!
