Goldfinger Trailer (Fan Made)

Once again, a modern trailer for a classic Bond movie (suprise!).

This was made a while ago, but I wanted to wait until the "Quantum" hype had died down.

Beginning is a little iffy (those mobsters couldn't act worth a damn). Cut the "he's British but doesn't sound like it" line.

Two questions: Why do you have Felix saying "I thought I'd find you in good hands" with no image of Bond/chick?When the girl asks "Who are you?", you only have the Bond part (without the completely needed, JAMES BOND). I'd also have that a bit earlier.

OK, i'm officially obsessing too much about this. Good work overall with great music ques and nice quick modern cuts.

Thanks for the constructive criticism! I appreciate it, I honestly don't remember the reason for all those things, it was too long ago. Mostly for pacing and timing purposes. The "Who are you?.....Bond" was cut because of the background music that plays during the immortal line. It would sound too intrusive in the trailer. Trying to piece together all these elements into a coherent and exciting trailer is really just hit or miss most of the time. Thanks again for your thoughts :)

Most people say this is the greatest Bond of all time. Don't get me wrong, I love Goldfinger, but it's not the best.

While I respect your opinion, simply saying "it's not the best" like you're speaking for everyone is obnoxious.

Goldfinger works the best as a standalone movie, and not as a movie just for Bond lovers. The pacing, the characters, the writing, and the plot are all top notch, and was finely crafted into pretty much a Hitchcock thriller. Goldfinger made James Bond what it is today. You may argue that Ian Flemming did, but it was really Guy Hamilton's fantastic directing.

I actually noticed the other day goldfinger is wearing a specter like ring for al we know he was once a member he was a ember of smersh specters nemesis but its nice to think though the ring wasnt invented till thunderball
