This is a vid about Natural Horsemanship and why you would want to do it.
And i'm not saying that saddles and bridles are bad.
I just want people to know that ther is a better way to work with horses.

  • i agree with you a little, but horses are MEANT for riding. they make money in the world they arent always meant for play toys

  • @BREYERKID maybe not, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't respect them.

  • @lotteblue10- i respect them alot, just saying. not all tack is abuse and such..

  • @BREYERKID i know, I made this video quite a while ago. My view on this matter has changed some in the mean time...

  • @lotteblue10- sorry i respect you

  • @BREYERKID thanks :)

  • @iWrasseZz the horse doesn't have to learn anything, natural horsemanship is learning the body language of the horse. Every horse understands natural horsemanship, but the human has to learn it. If you just tried it once, of course it won't work.

  • Not sure if you realize this, but all those horses in the clips being ridden tackless were trained to respond through use of a bridle and bit... Although many riders DO abuse tack (which absolutely disgusts me), most do not, and lashing out at the competitive world as a whole just makes you seem ignorant. It is a powerful video, but I suggest you preach against MISUSE of tack; not against the equipment itself. Nice video though.

  • @Springponysearch Actually, a horse logically doesn't like to jump. Horses are instinct based creatures, and when you consider how much weight a horse carries on it's front legs when it's just WALKING, imagine the stress when everything goes into that. I find it hard to believe a horse could rationalize liking that. Horse and human can be just as beautiful together without having to earn ribbons.

  • All of these pictures used are obviously in high levels of competition, in a moment when a horse tilts it's head, frothing a bit at the mouth from working.. Every one of these videos always shows pictures that look bad, but there are extremes to every side.

  • @lcweinstock- what?

  • I ride with a rubber broken D-ring snaffle, no spurs, and no crop and I still feel bad.

  • @BREYERKID Your Youtube name is "Breyer Kid"... irony.

  • I won't say much, but all those dressage exercises they show in this movie, i also do with my horse. and he trusts me as much as the other side of the movie. so this doesn't say anything!
