This video shows a scene lighted with Spherical Harmonics Precomputed Radiance Transfer. The sky changes in realtime and so does the PRT lighting. This is achieved by converting the SH representation of the used skylightlight model in its parameter space in a polynomial extension in its principal parameters

  • It is from cg.tuwien.ac.at/research/publications/2008/Habel_08_SSH

  • What is difference, for example, between Spherical Harmonics and Irradiance map?

  • Are there any papers on this, code examples, or is it closed-source?

  • Wow, perfect lighting makes the simplest geometry look great.

  • It just needs digital molecular structure of whatever it's called...

So you can blow it up!

    in realtime!

  • cool! How long that was rendered for?

  • Awesome

  • brilliant!
