Come Eat: Cream Cheese Jell-O

Crust:
1 & 1/2 blocks butter or margarine
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 & 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar, add flour gradually while mixing, add nuts, mix. Butter the bottom of a 9" by 13" pan and press the mixture into it. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool.

Second Layer:
1 box (3 oz) lemon Jell-O
1 cup hot water
3/4 cup sugar
1 eight ounce Philadelphia cream cheese
8 ounces whipping cream

Boil water. Pour Jell-O into mixing bowl. Add 1 cup hot water, mix until Jell-O is dissolved, cool.
Place cream cheese in another mixing bowl, add sugar, mix. Add whipping cream, very gradually while mixing to keep mixture creamy, not lumpy. When Jell-O is cool, add gradually while mixing to keep mixture creamy. Pour into cooled crust. Refrigerate and CHILL TILL SET.

Top Layer:
1 box (6 oz) Cherry Jell-O
3 cups hot water

Boil water. Pour Jell-O into mixing bowl, add 3 cups hot water, mix until Jell-O is dissolved. Cool.

IMPORTANT: Make sure 2nd layer is set and Cherry Jell-O is cool. Use a ladle to spoon it gently over filling. I have seen others pour it in and either it was too heavy handed or a combination of the filling not being set which would make the filling rise, ruining the effect of layers, even the taste. This has never happened to me, knock on wood.

Chill till set and slice into squares to serve.

I'm not a dessert person but this is my favorite dessert and the only way that I eat Jell-O.

@jonlul You Tube used to show the description on the right but there are other videos displayed there so NOW, you have to click under the video on, "Show more" to view the video description and that's where the recipe is located... and it seems that most people don't know that so get pissed that there is no recipe when in fact, it IS there. :/
