The diaper on her seems to be on wrong. As for the hemp insert, it needs to be washed several times for optimal absorbency. If that doesn't work it might have detergent build up and will need to be stripped.

You do not really need to buy the Large AND Medium size inserts for the BestBottom shells! I just measured mine again and the difference was not even a centimetre! Btw, I'm still waiting for a reply to my Email!? :-)

@mayandhenry Thank you so much :) We waited until the cord and meconium were gone before we started using cloth diapers. The Fuzzi Bunz fit her around 2-3 weeks :)

@SummerSunshine1988 They were worse when she was tiny. They made her bow legged :) They fit her a lot better now!!

@mrsajanek we bought 8 shells, 12 inserts {we need more though I would recommend at least 18} and we have 1 doubler {she doesn't seem to have a wetting problem though} 2 hemps {personally I don't like them} we do laundry every day around here :)

There are some groups on facebook where you can swap or buy new and used cloth diapers/prefolds. It's called cloth diaper swap:) There are 2 of them that I use.

@HomeSweetApartment The recommended amount for Best Bottom are: 8- 10 shells, and 18-24 inserts per size :) I am not sure about the Fuzzi bunz though.
