Throughout his remarkably long and successful pop career, singer-songwriter Paul Simon has also impressed the world with his comedic talents. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, the musician frequently appeared on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, and his relationship with the show reaches its apex on this fantastic 1977 television special, which Simon wrote with legendary SNL producer Lorne Michaels. A send-up of the backstage experience, THE PAUL SIMON SPECIAL stars Charles Grodin as a hilarious producer and Lily Tomlin and Chevy Chase as themselves. In addition, Paul plays some of his hits, including collaborations with his old partner, Art Garfunkel.

  • Something unexplainable happens when they start sing together it just works so perfectly...and then separately has a different kind of beauty in it...they are just so chill. I hope someone learns to write like simon one day...

  • 2:55 looks like the Bookends album cover in reverse.

  • now that shit was funny... "you're getting very sloppy Paul, c'mon I put a lot of time into these cards" XD

  • Aww and now they really are 70 . . .

  • Funny- "old friends" when they are both stil so young here

  • I love 1:44 ~ Art:: "john come on!!!"

  • One person doesn't have an old friend.

  • Way to ruin a moment you asshole!

  • @themusicmaker91 One writes music for the gods, the other has a voice for the same. Apart from one another they are not as half as good as they are together. Together they are more than both combinded.

  • To the begining, you laugh, it's so funny, " my very old friend " - " no, very very very " xD

    And when they began to sing, you cry, it's so... So... Is there any word to say that ?

  • Having to put up with dick heads like this idiot from TV it’s a wonder that talented musicians still manage to persevere and survive.
