Dick, I hope you are right that economics and security are the focus of the Rep. party now. But if we have the right frame for the forthcoming contests, we have to hope that we get a Rep. candidate who is capable and qualified to both articulate these issues and to execute on a national turnaround. That is not the case with some of the candidates now in the field.

We need a person of capability, experience, and good character.

There are so many major issues facing our country. We can not re-elect Obama. But what do these folks do Monday night....again show discrimination against a segment of society...the gays. Some big tent! Again it is about the "economy stupid". I will vote for whoever the GOP candidate is but many out there are so tired of the GOP's use of Gays as a political WEDGE.

2012 elections are about economy and also about the existence of USA as a country of freedom.

If GOP will not stop insisting that abortion is a murder, they will lose, because sometimes an abortion is the only alternative to suicide. Liberals will use social issuers as a weapon against GOP and they have good chances to win. Then, as it was in USSR, americans will have free abortions. But, they will lose their freedom; and they will not have anesthesia for their abortions.

What's new the liberal press doesn't want to talk about the real problems which are jobs, but would rather ding dong about gay marriage and abortion. Who gives a rat's ass about perverted sex or what low life has an abortion. None of that means jack shit if the economy isn't addressed, and the only way for that to improve is for the government to get their overly fat fingers out of our pie. But of course the liberal press isn't concerned with that because it doesn't fit their social agenda.
