@Baseshocks if you do your math the eco car tax cost you .16 cents a day. Less than a daily Starbucks coffee. By eliminating it it cost Toronto deficits somewhere else. And now that this idiot fired Gary Webster we now have to fork up half a million dollars when his contract would of finished in March 2013. The TTC has now gotten worse with Fords 10% cut backs. Only 46% of the GTA voted and the ones whose votes matter didn't bother so this how we wound up with Ford. Who truly is the gravy.

@MegaYapyapyap so what happens with all the LRT's in 20 years, they will be too little for such a massive city, every major city in the world has a proper subway line, Look at new york they have a marvel of a line and they still get a fuck load of surface traffic. Now imagine new york with a shitty subway line.... The city would not be able to function.

@MegaYapyapyap sheppard line ghost town? have you been here during rush hour i live on don mills, it fills the trains on rush hour for such a small line. no shit other lines have larger crowds they are huge lines, if this line extends to Scarborough town center it gives people of Scarborough a proper system, then you will see the line packed.

LRT is a quick fix, they have to flow with traffic lights slow line..... continued.

@Baseshocks EVERYONE? Well you didn't ask me. I have been riding the TTC for 35 years and the Sheppard line is a freakin ghost town and would be a total waste of money, but what do you know. You make ASSumptions about what everyone wants. I support LRT. I am a long time TTC customer. Ford is an Ape.

@five5x Saved millions by contracting out Garbage, eliminated the Eco car tax saving people money. That is just 2 of them... @justanoldman1 Of course they are, anyone and everyone who rides the TTC want underground systems, its just that city hall is too fucking cheap to pay for it. As well as these dumb fucking people protesting about it. Every world class city has proper subway systems that movies millions upon millions around a day to free up surface routes. I do not understand the mentality of a cheap fixes. If we build a station every 2 years when the system was built, we would have a beast system
