Ben & Jane Thompson talk about their proposed redevelopment of the Fulton Fish Market, Lower Manhattan, New York City. Filmed in 1981 I think.

  • I always went to see it whenever I went up to NYC and I could get by

    The Southside Seaport

    early in the morning,

It's a shame that's no longer an option since they moved to Hunt's Point in The Bronx.

  • what time does it close? us to i mean because im doing a essay on it and i need to know it for my speech

    plz reply

  • I loved going down here. I used to go to the Paris Cafe all the time. The door would usually be open and windows and the stench of fish would blow in all the time. You didn't mind it at all because that was what the place was. Guys would finish their shifts at 3 in the morning and come in with hooks hanging off their sholders. It was sad when the market moved up to Hunts Point in the Bronx. The Paris is still great though.

  • wow! such an interesting part of New York history.

    Great to see.
