what color is your camera?

This is the best HD camera footage I've seen on here. Now I want one lol. The picture is really clear and the focus is great. Good job on the editing too.

You can hear the lense auto focusing. LOL

Really nice camcorder, 200 bucks how can you go wrong?

Trust me, you can. I ended up taking this camcorder back and got a display model of the Sony CX100 HD Handycam that was in mint condition for $240 off the original price. The CX100 is FAR better than the Sony Webbie, but if all you're going to be doing is posting videos on YouTube, then the Webbie should suit you just fine.

I was thinking of buying the Sony CX100 HD Handycam too. Is the Sony CX100 HD Handycam a pain when it comes to rendering/exporting? I know 1080p can be a pain, but if you shoot in 720p, then it shouldn't be a problem to work with if you want to edit the footage, correct?

Well, I'm using a Macbook with OS Tiger and I find editing to be non existent. I'm waiting until I get Final Cut Express before I start editing any video so I can't really comment on that. What I can comment on is, the CX100 doesn't have the ability to record in 720p, only 1080p and 480x720. But surprisingly, recordings in 480x720 appear much sharper than video shot on the Sony SX40 which also records in 480x720.

One more thing, and the reason I can't edit my HD files on my Mac, the Sony CX100 only records in AVCHD in HD mode which is a proprietary format which Sony owns and controls the rights to. This alone is going to make finding editing software harder. 480x720 is recorded in MPEG2, which is marginally easier to edit.
