I purchased my 1985 MR2 from the original owner back in July of 2006. He took exceptionally good care of it. After the initial break in period, he even used Mobil 1 synthetic oil exclusively. I recently had my SE-R dyno'd and was curious about the condition of my newly aquired MR2. I was thrilled to find that the motor was in near new condition, based on the results. Ninety-two horsepower at the wheels translates to one hundred and twelve at the crank if you factor seventeen percent driveline losses.

  • I love at 0:23 the VVT comes in. The moan turns into a scream

  • @clockhanded Actually, it's T-VIS, but I'm sure you knew that. Nice sound indeed.

  • I also have same yr and color. bought from original owner back on july 09. bought it for 300. He had it storage for 10yrs cause though gearbox was breaking down. had like 60k miles on it. So far have to replace suspension, wireing cause of guess a rat and fuel injectors to get back up in running.

  • @RozenGothica Good Deal! Mine was in very good condition when I got it. I had to replace the suspension a few years after. Koni and Eibach Pro Kits on now. Replaced front and rear sway bars with Suspension Technique units. While I was at it, I swapped out all the suspension bushings with Prothane replacements.

  • i have the same year and same color but i only have eleven thousand miles and some change on mine. orig owners..

  • @89nightrider89 Nice! Keep it that way.
