This is the ultimate "I'm getting married let's get drunk" song.
-
@98vanguard It means literally "To Life!" and is said as a toast on drinking. So 'Cheers' in English, or 'Salud!' in Spanish. (L`Chaim) Its Hebrew, I think.

what does "lechaim" mean and in what language?
-
@dsniemi It makes me proud to be Jewish too. If nothing else, this song reveals the essence of Judaism, its emphasis on life in this world rather than pinning our hopes on finding satisfaction in some future world. Rabbi Harold Kushner, author of "When Bad Things Happen to Good People," said that no people have celebrated weddings and other ceremonies with so much joy, so much laughter and tears, as have the Jews.

Dr Sheldon Cooper rulez !!!!!!!!!!
I love the movie version. Especially the last minute of the movie version where you had the whole bar join in. Here it sounds a bit empty.
