How far apart should the pickups be from each others border plate edge? -I'm asking this because I'm making a custom clear pick guard.
How long is the neck starting from where its touching the neck pickup to the starting point of the head [the top side]?

on this video at 2:29 you flip the guitar over showing the string thru. On the top side I know its called a tail piece but at 2:29 what are the components called or six rings that hold the six strings from the back? I cant find anything on the net and I would prefer stringing the guitar strings thru the body. Thanks for the help!
